This social housing project, situated at the junction of 418-422 Onehunga Mall and 78 Mt Smart Rd in Onehunga, Auckland, is a testament to effective urban redevelopment. 

Originally, three residential homes occupied this space, but they were strategically demolished and merged into a single plot. Notably, the site's unique volcanic viewshaft was preserved without compromising the design.

In terms of construction, McMillan and Lockwood erected a five-story building divided into two blocks. The Onehunga Mall entrance offers 21 one-bedroom units, while the Mt Smart Road entrance provides access to 18 two-bedroom units. Each block includes a 5-story lift service and a shared community room on the ground floor, with rear parking facilities.
