Mike has developed his skills at McMillan and Lockwood working initially as Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager to his current position as Commercial Manager.
Mike commenced his career in construction over 34 years ago as a carpentry apprentice. He graduated in 1994 with a degree in Business Studies, focused on Valuation and Property Management; and more recently become a Licenced Building Practitioner in classes Carpentry and Site S3 (BP 121762).
Mikes Key areas of proficiency and experience include estimation, value engineering, procurement, commercial/contracts, management of subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants, and developing client relationships, to ensure fair value is achieved through control of the detail.
Outside work Mike spends quality time with his young family, He enjoys reading, travelling, woodwork and adventures with his boys.
